Learn about the world through experimental projects using plastic bottles and other recyclable materials! Bottle Biology will support students in understanding soil, ecosystems, and the land-water connection through hands-on construction of gardening systems inside upcycled plastic containers. This workshop is especially catered to learning among children; be sure that students enrolled can give attention to the fine details of construction and instruction.
This is an (almost) all ages workshop for youth as young as five years and adults of all ages! Space is limited, so be sure to enroll each participant individually to ensure that there is space. (Guardians who intend to stick around to support their kiddos should also enroll.) Participants should arrive with the understanding that this is an intergenerational workshop centering gentle and accessible instruction for all ages.
This is an IN-PERSON, OUTDOOR workshop for kids and adults. This workshop will be held outside Arts + Literature Laboratory (111 S Livingston St) and is limited to ten participants, so expect an intimate and flexible learning atmosphere. Students will have access to the bathrooms inside the exhibition space. Please arrive wearing masks. This workshop may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or any changing public health guidelines.
