Every writer has that perfect movie in their heads - but getting it down on paper can be daunting. Screenplay structure, format, genre can seem overwhelming for a new screenwriter. This course is designed to give you the foundation you need to take your story from concept to script. By the end of the class you’ll have a full 50 pages of a feature-length screenplay and will be well on your way to an ending!
It’s never been a better time to be a screenwriter. With more outlets for original and diverse voices, your script can find an audience. Whether your story is a blockbuster crime caper or an indie drama this course will give you the tools and confidence you need to take your writing to the next step. The time is now.
Please note: Classes are at 770 W Dayton St, not the School of Human Ecology Building. There will be no class on March 16, in observance of Spring Break.
